Dear NYSASPA Colleagues,
I hope this message finds you well, energized, and ready for the exciting year ahead. As we embark on our 60th year as an organization, I am honored and humbled to serve as your President. The New York State Association of School Personnel Administrators has long been a quiet force within the educational community, operating as a behind-the-scenes powerhouse that helps drive positive change for school personnel across New York State. With the continued dedication and hard work of each one of you, we’ve achieved remarkable strides in improving the landscape for our members, for our employees, and ultimately for our students. This year, we are more committed than ever to building on these successes and taking steps toward even greater advocacy for our members.
Recently, we’ve launched new initiatives, including monthly webinars and new committees. The webinars, many led by "experts among us," will share best practices and new ideas for school personnel administrators. I encourage you to participate in these webinars, suggest topics, and share your experiences. Please also take full advantage of the new committee opportunities to engage with each other, share insights, and continue advocating for positive changes in our schools.
As a close knit organization, we continue to experience increasing momentum in strengthening our advocacy efforts through strategic partnerships. The diverse needs of school personnel are at the forefront of our work as we work to ensure our voices are heard across all levels of educational leadership and policy making. To stay informed on our advocacy initiatives, I encourage you to visit the advocacy section of our website and/or join the advocacy committee.
I want to thank you for your continued commitment to the values that make our association so exceptional. As we move forward into this exciting year, I encourage you to stay engaged, share your experiences, and continue supporting one another. Every contribution you make - whether through webinars, committees, advocacy, or quick listserv responses - plays a crucial role in shaping the future of school personnel administration across New York State. Together, we will continue to make a lasting impact on our members, our schools, and the students we serve.
Here’s to another great year of progress and success.
